Yichang to build Hubei's largest civil ship repair production base

On October 9, in the Jiangkou area of Yichang Shipbuilding Industrial Park, the bulk carrier Sangang No. 8, built by Yichang Sangang Shipping Co., Ltd., was slowly entering the water through airbags, stirring up layers of waves. On the other side, in Zhijiang Shengmao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., workers are nervously producing, or welding the hull, or tightening rivets, or checking the cabin, or connecting wiring.
Three enterprises in the park, Zhijiang Hongju Shipbuilding, Yichang Xinhui Shipbuilding and Yichang Xingda Shipbuilding, have been successfully listed in Wuhan Equity Custody Trading Center (New Fourth Board), injecting new impetus into the subsequent development of the Shipbuilding Industrial Park.
Three enterprises in the park, Zhijiang Hongju Shipbuilding, Yichang Xinhui Shipbuilding and Yichang Xingda Shipbuilding, have been successfully listed in Wuhan Equity Custody Trading Center (New Fourth Board), injecting new impetus into the subsequent development of the Shipbuilding Industrial Park.

This year, 65 ships were launched in the Jiangkou area of Yichang Shipbuilding Industrial Park, with a load of about 545000 tons, an output value of about 0.9 billion yuan and a profit and tax of 52 million yuan, thus solving the problem of more than 5400 local jobs. The park is strengthening independent innovation, accelerating the transformation of industrial structure, and striving to become the largest civil ship repair and production base in Hubei Province.
